Fantasy FM 1989-1991
Fantasy was one of the biggest pirate radio stations in London. Broadcasting on 98.1 FM from 1989 to 1991. Fantasy FM played rave music.

Fantasy was one of the very first London based pirates pioneering underground dance music alongside a handful of other big names on the FM dial such as Sunrise, Centreforce & Dance FM. This was the dawn of a new era for pirate radio, the turn of the decade brought Kiss FM to 100 FM with a legal licence. Affordable home computers like the Atari ST and the Amiga soon made it possible for producers to develop music in a bedroom or small studio equipped with little more than a sampler, synthesizer and a sequencer. Rave music quickly evolved to be known as "Hardcore" then Jungle and now the globally recognised Drum & Bass! Although electronic music and pirate radio stations have been around since the late 1960's this is basically where it all began.

Fantasy held several large events at London's Astoria. The events played host to over 2,000 people every weekend!

Some of the DJ's who played on Fantasy FM included:

- DJ Hype
- Dj Spice
- Mr C (Shamen)
- Krome and Time
- DJ Rap
- DJ Massive
- DJ Ace (Apex Twin)
- Desert Rat
- Rhythm Doctor
- Evil O
- Richard Ford
